IGNIS BRUNENSIS 2018 in BRNO has kicked off

Yesterday saw the beginning of 21st annual international fireworks competition in Brno called STAROBRNO IGNIS BRUNENSIS. The festival, lasting until 17 June 2018, is unique this year by also celebrating 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia (former sovereign state of Czechia and Slovakia). Thus, the fireworks festival will also feature some additional themes and events in celebration of this anniversary.

The main competition features fireworks made by teams from Czech Republic, France, Romania and Poland which will take place on the surface of Brno Dam Lake:

2 June 2018 (Saturday) - FLASH BARRANDOV SFX Czech Republic
6 June 2018 (Wednesday) - SUREX Poland
9 June 2018 (Saturday) - PYRO EVENTS Romania
13 June 2018 (Wednesday) - POK 2.0 LUX FACTORY France


The closing fireworks epilogue over Špilberk Castle created by IGNIS BRUNENSIS TEAM Czechia will be launched on Saturday 16 June 2018.

All of the fireworks begin at 10:30 p.m.
